Buddhism is the world's fourth-largest religion with over 520 million followers, or over 7% of the global population, known as Buddhists. Buddhism encompasses a variety of traditions, beliefs and spiritual practices largely based on original teachings attributed to the Buddha and resulting interpreted philosophies.
Day 01 : Arrival at Patna
Visit Vaishali Arrive at Patna. Visit Vaishali (60kms). Lord Buddha preached his first sermon, and announced his impending Nirvana here. Return to Patna by evening.
Day 02 : Proceed to Rajgir
Visit Shanti Stupa Proceed to Ragir (93 kms - 2.5 hrs). Rajgir is also known as Panchpahari with shrines on five hills. Visit Vishwa Shanti Stupa (Peace Pagoda) and monasteries built by Japanese devotees of the Buddha on top of the Ratnagiri Hills.
Day 03 : Proceed to Bodhgaya
Visit Mahabodhi Temple. Travel to Bodhgaya (70 kms - 2 hrs). Bodhgaya is where Buddha attained enlightment under a tree, Visit to the Mahabodhi temple. There are number of temples set up by different South East Asian Countries. Guests may visit them time permitting.
Day 04 : Departure
After breakfast, depart for onward journey.
